Working with tabs in gedit allows you to keep an eye on several
files in a single window. The tab that is larger than the other tabs indicates
the file that is currently open. The smaller tabs indicate other files that
are available to work on.
Adding tabs
To add a new tab, create a new file with CtrlT. The tab will be added to the right side of any other
tabs.
Removing tabs
To remove a tab, click the × on the tab's
right side. To remove all open tabs, press CtrlShiftW.
